Register Pins
Ternes Burton™ register pins are used to keep you in register when printmaking using linoleum or wood blocks. Ternes registration pins enable tight registration on complicated multi color projects. Register pins currently come in both metal and plastic, however the metal pins are being discontinued spring of 2025. Quantities are being limited on the stainless pins and large orders from non repeat customers will be cancelled. Both the stainless and the plastic pins are made with my trademarked base shape, which is unique to my company. It is designed with a narrow forward area to hold the button centered to prevent tilt, while the wide base has a hole in it so that as you tape the pin base down you have adhesion on either side as well as the center. This helps prevent movement. The most common register pin I sell has a 1/4" (6.35mm) diameter. The plastic pins are molded and are meant for repeated use, however please watch your roller pressure with them.

CONSIDER PLASTIC PINS. They work well and are 1/3 the price of stainless. They are long lasting, recyclable, and meant for repeated use.

The odd round and all the elongated pins made from metal have already been discontinued. I still have some of them left and some of the less odd sizes are still listed in the Miscellaneous section below. You are welcome to email to see if I have buttons available for your special custom size but keep in mind it takes considerable time to set up for a custom size and I generally will pass on very small quantities unless I happen to have them already made in a drawer.

Assembly PINS
Ternes Burton™ Assembly Pins are small based pins machined from solid aluminum. Base size is 1/2" diameter. Round assembly pins are $1.00 each and the elongated pins are $1.40 each. Plastic register pins are not much more money than an assembly pin and have a base to tape down. As I run out of each size it will be discontinued and not replaced.
