Stripping Tabs
Stripping Tabs ST1
Ternes Burton™ stripping tabs are sturdy pieces of .0075" thick mylar. Stripping tabs are the bridge between your paper and the register pin button. One side of the stripping tab is taped to the edge of your paper, while the round 1/4" (6.3mm) hole is attached to the 1/4" round button on the register pin which has been taped to your work surface. Two or three tabs are usually used with each piece of paper. After all the prints are finished the tabs are then either cut off your work, or many people peel off and reuse the tabs. The stripping tabs aren’t meant for re-use and eventually will need to be replaced. I’d recommend ordering enough tabs for future use as ordering just tabs later can be expensive. You can usually purchase a larger bag with twice as many tabs for only a few dollars more and the postage is usually about the same. The round hole on the ST1 stripping tab is 1/4" (6.3mm). The ST1 stripping tabs are available in bags of 100, 250, 500 or 1000 pieces. For several detailed examples of how to use our pins and tabs please see the videos and blogs linked on my home page.
